====== LGP-30 ======

The scientific computer LGP-30 ([[wp>LGP-30]]) was an early affordable scientific computer, desinged by Stanley P. Fraenkel for the US company ''Royal McBee Corporation", see also [[http://computermuseum.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de/dev/lgp30/|Computermuseum University Stuttgart]] and [[http://ed-thelen.org/comp-hist/lgp-30.html|Ed Thelen]]. There are several machines still in museums, and some of these restrored to working conditions, or at least close to it.

In order to understand and experiment with the LGP-30 instructions, there is a simulator using [[https://github.com/simh/simh|SIMH]] and a DOS program available from [[ftp://ftp.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de/pub/cm/lgp30/simulator/]]. 

Jürgen Müller has created a replica by transferring the original circuits to a FPGA, see [[http://www.e-basteln.de/lgp30/lgp30_intro.html]].
